Hi Minecraft Team,
I propose adding a way to connect minecarts into trains. This would solve a major logistics headache and unlock new creativity.
The Problem: Moving lots of items or mobs is clunky. Multiple separate carts are inefficient, slow, and prone to jams. Players want realistic trains but currently need mods.
The Solution: A "Coupler" Item
· Crafting: Simple recipe (e.g., 3 Iron + 1 Chain).
· Use: Right-click two adjacent carts on rails to link/unlink them.
· Physics: Linked carts move as one unit, with synchronized movement and turning.
Key Benefits:
1. Efficiency: One furnace or powered rail moves entire cargo trains. Perfect for large farms and mines.
2. Creativity: Build real stations, cargo networks, and adventure map rides.
3. Gameplay Depth: Enhances automation and transportation, a core Minecraft loop.
Balance & Tech Notes:
· Speed could slightly decrease with length for balance.
· Optimize as a single "compound entity" for server performance.
· Redstone: Use total cargo for comparator output; only lead cart triggers detector rails.
This feature is highly requested and aligns perfectly with Minecraft's spirit of building and automation. It would be a transformative addition for players of all styles.
Thank you for your consideration!
