new mob villager guard

Villages should have villager gauds because it only takes a few nights to kill an iron golem. When you spawn in a world, there would be around 3 to 8 villager guards that have a 20% chance to get a shield, and it has leather to chainmail armor and a 50-50% chance of getting a crossbow or an iron sword. It also has a brown headband on its head, and its arms are like regular player arms and if you give it bread, it gives you an emerald. It also should have a spawn egg. It is a very smart mob. If it has a sword, it hits and goes back a bit, and if it has a crossbow, it stays back a little bit. And if you attack one, they all attack you. It is strong, fast, and smart. and can do very well in raids and at night. This should be in Minecraft because it is very useful to villages. It protects villagers and itself. Lastly, it adds new armor which is as good as iron armor but cooler and it adds a headband to the game.

    Interesting idea. Useful too. Would the villager guard look like a player but is an NPC? Would there be villager guards along with iron golems or would the iron golems be replaced?
    I also think that considering the size of the village that should determine how many guards spawn in addition to iron golems.

    The villager guard would look like a villager but arms like a player. The iron golems would still be in villages, but villager guards wouldn't walk right beside an iron golem because they would only walk around the village. I agree that the size of the village should determine how many villager guards should spawn which is why there would be around 3 to 8 villager guards and still only one iron golem.
