Detailed Description
Jungles could feel more alive with the addition of Mango Trees, a tropical tree that adds fruit, progression, and a fresh wood type while fitting naturally into Minecraft.
World Generation & Wood
Mango Trees generate in jungle biomes and introduce Mango Wood with planks, doors, and trapdoors. Mango Logs are light brown with beige vein-like lines, while stripped Mango Logs match the orange-beige tone of the Mango Door. Mango Leaves are dark, glossy green, and Mango Saplings have large, colorful leaves. Mango Saplings can grow into normal trees or a short variant.
Flowering & Fruit
Every 20 minutes, Mango Trees flower with visible particles. Five minutes later, about 1/3 of flowers become Raw Mangos that grow on leaf surfaces like cocoa pods.
Harvesting & Food
Raw Mangos can be harvested. Crafting one in the 2x2 grid gives a Mango Slice (restores 3 hunger) and a Mango Husk. Mango Slices can also be used to breed parrots.
Seeds & Growth
Husks have a 33% chance to become a sapling, Seeds have an 80% chance, and Saplings grow into trees with 100% certainty. After ~20 minutes, planted husks or seeds either become saplings or disappear. Saplings grow in ~10 minutes. Bone meal speeds up all stages.
Grindstone Processing
Mango Husks can be ground into guaranteed Seeds, consuming grindstone durability and eventually breaking it like an anvil.
Trading
Wandering Traders sell Mango Seeds for 2 emeralds and Saplings for 5.
