Lodestone Compasses should work across dimensions.

Ever since the lodestone was given a cheaper recipe, I have been in love with using them instead of the tedious act of going into my screenshots folder to look at coordinates, but I wish they worked across dimensions since the distance in the nether is so much shorter but I can't take advantage of that when my lodestones are in the overworld...

    Creating nether hubs/highways solves your problem.
