Add Emerald and Redstone weapons and tools to the game

In Minecraft, there are no emerald and redstone weapons and tools. If you encounter them and break them, you can't make much with them. Could an update be added to the game to add emerald and redstone weapons and tools, and allow players to do more with emerald and redstone?

    good idea not redstone tools through yes emerald what if villagers emeralds are impure and mined ones arent  emerald should be pure emerald should be slightly worse than diamond tools and only pure emerald tools are craftable but in villager economy pure emeralds are worth four impure emeralds  though

    We're never getting this, they weren't added to be armour. Emeralds are way too easy to get and aren't practical as armour.
    Redstone is also very common and theres already plenty armour in the game
