Hello Minecraft Bedrock Development Team,
I am a technical creator in the Bedrock community, currently developing an innovative navigation add-on called "Smart Locator". The goal of this project is to create a 3D-modeled compass that helps players navigate toward the "X" marker on Treasure Maps, making exploration more accessible and immersive.
However, I have encountered a significant technical limitation in the current Scripting API (@minecraft/server): there is no way to programmatically access the specific coordinates (X, Z) of the destination marker stored within a "minecraft:filled_map" or a treasure map.
I would like to request that the API be updated to expose this data. Specifically, allowing scripts to retrieve the target location of a treasure map would empower creators to build advanced navigation tools, accessibility aids, and unique survival experiences.
Thank you for your incredible work on the Scripting API and for supporting the creativity of the Bedrock community.
Best regards,
[Omar - SmartLocator Developer]
