I like the current enchantment system in the game. However, most of the enchantments are just passive stat increases, such as Sharpness linearly increasing the amount of damage you do. My favourite type of enchantments are those that actively change how a tool functions, such as Frost Walker, Wind Burst, Lunge, etc.
Having more enchantments like these could make the system a lot more interesting, so here are some ideas.
1. Steadfast - An enchantment for shields, because they need more love. I'm pretty sure every other tool in the game has a unique enchantment except for shields. Steadfast would go up to level V, and decrease the stun time of a shield by 0.5 seconds every level, capping at 2.5 seconds less stun time when hit with an axe at max level. However, the tradeoff is that it takes 1 extra durability each level as well, and it's incompatible with Unbreaking.
2. Wind Leap - An enchantment for boots. It acts similar to Wind Burst and goes up to level 3, but gives you about half the height Wind Burst would. Whenever you jump you would be able to spawn a wind charge below you by jumping again in midair, boosting you up. It has a cooldown in which your boots will show up as an item slot next to your offhand item slot and a cooldown indicator (similar to an ender pearl's indicator) will be shown over it, and the higher the level, the lower the cooldown is. You take fall damage, unlike a regular wind charge boost.
