New Mob: Vikings
Vikings are neutral humanoids that spawn in taigas, snowy shores, and frozen oceans. They are completely distinct from villagers, with player-like models, fur-lined clothing, simple armor, and axes or shields. Vikings live in Longhouses and Harbors, travel by boat, and defend their camps if attacked. Players can build reputation with them by trading or helping them in combat.
Trading & Reputation
Vikings trade without job blocks. They offer maps, banners, boat items, food, and limited gear, and primarily value Nordic Gold over emeralds. Reputation affects prices and behavior, rewarding peaceful and helpful players.
New Material: Nordic Gold
Crafted from copper and iron, Nordic Gold can be obtained in most biomes. It’s used for decoration, utility items like horns or runed components, and trading with Vikings. Viking Warriors and Leaders have a rare chance to drop Nordic Gold; armor drops are damaged and never guaranteed.
Structures
• Longhouses – Wooden homes with beds, storage, and crafting areas
• Harbors – Docks with longboats and exploration loot
• Rune Stones – Small monuments with maps or decorations
Advancement:
Forged by the North – Obtain Nordic Gold for the first time. Icon: a Minecraft-style horned Viking helmet.
