I would love to suggest Netherite Resin, a new crafting material that makes gear immune to fire and lava. By surrounding a Netherite Scrap with Resin in a crafting grid, players could create Netherite Resin, which can then be applied to tools, weapons, armor, or elytra using a Smithing Table. The upgraded items would keep their original stats but survive flames, lava, and fire, protecting players from accidental loss during exploration or dangerous battles.
This idea also gives Resin more use, tying it directly to crafting and adding purpose beyond aesthetics. Collecting Resin from the Pale Garden biome, with its eerie creaking trees, makes the biome more functional and encourages exploration. Surrounding a Netherite Scrap with Resin feels deliberate and satisfying, echoing Minecraft’s careful crafting design.
Imagine venturing into lava-filled Nether fortresses or wandering near lava lakes with confidence, knowing your gear is safe. This addition adds strategy, immersion, and utility without breaking game balance, while giving players a reason to interact with the Pale Garden and its resources.
As a Minecraft veteran I would be honored to be able to contribute to the extraordinary game that changed my life as well as others and brightens up the world.
This is a rough idea, but I would love to see what you could do with it!
- Sincerely, Mr. Nugget
