Please bring back the previous raid triggers, and increase the frequency of Pillager patrols. Those were such a fun and dynamic events, and I haven’t seen one in months. It feels like survival is being taken over by creative. Both have their place, but taking aggression initiative away from Pillagers makes them just feel like they hardly exist anymore. Attacking an outpost is so easy it could be an afterthought, and the fact that there are no longer consequences for killing a captain (triggering a raid) has stolen a big part of the sense that the world is alive.
Addendum:
Please let pillagers persist once spawned - if only at Pillager Outposts. I had to flee from a battle at an outpost and returned only to find the outpost abandoned again. This really dampened the “story” experience in my world.
