Different chest wood options + crafting thoughts

I think it could be cool to have the option to make chests that look like the wood they were crafted from! They could possibly be crafted like a normal chest (8 planks around the edge), and then in the empty middle crafting space use a sapling or log that is the type of tree/wood that has the desired look. Or, for a more "expensive" recipe, maybe the 8 edge pieces are logs or wood (the 6-sided ones) blocks! 
Also, the current/regular chest colorway could still remain an option, mainly if you chose not to use the sapling/wood blocks and just used the regular 8 plank crafting recipe! 
I think that this would add a very nice visual variety to people's builds, especially as some color palettes might go better with certain woods types over the current yellow-y wood of the regular vanilla chest. I find myself using barrels a lot in my builds, largely because I don't care for how the chest color clashes with my building block choices!
