I would like to suggest a new feature for Minecraft Bedrock Edition: world-based achievements that are separate from Xbox Achievements.
Currently, all Bedrock achievements go directly to the Xbox account, which means players cannot experience “earning achievements from zero again” inside individual worlds. This makes challenge worlds, survival worlds, and custom gameplay less rewarding.
How the feature would work:
1. Xbox Achievements stay the same
– Only unlock when playing in a fully legitimate survival world (no cheats, no creative).
– Still linked to Gamerscore.
2. World-Based Achievements (Local Achievements)
– Each world has its own achievement list.
– Progress resets for each world individually.
– Does not affect Xbox Gamerscore.
– Can be seen in the pause menu or world menu.
– Works similarly to Java’s advancement system.
3. Benefits:
Allows players to feel progression in every new world.
Makes survival, challenges, and multiplayer worlds more engaging.
Doesn’t interfere with existing Xbox systems.
Why this feature matters:
Many Bedrock players want a sense of progression similar to Java’s advancements.
Adds more motivation and replayability to every world.
Keeps Xbox players happy because achievements remain untouched.
Optional Add-On:
Add “Advancement Made!”-style toast notifications for world-based achievements to make progress more satisfying.
These notifications apply only to world-based achievements, not Xbox ones.
