Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Beacon Tethering

Instead of setting up more beacons when one's range runs out there could be a block that adds range to a linked beacon. It could be crafted out of a nether star or other rare materials but wouldn't require ore blocks to function. It could search the area and connect to the closest beacon and extend the range. The range that the beacon is extended by could be determined by what ores you use to craft the beacon tether block. For example, iron could extend the range by 15 blocks, gold to 20, diamond to 30, etc. You could also possibly add another effect to the beacon via the tether. There could be a limit to how many blocks you could tether to the beacon.

    Or just make the range of the beacon depend on what you've built the pyramid with or what you used to get the effect
