Minecraft Version's Change

The new Minecraft Version Numbering sucks. The game drops ruined the old nostalgic 1.XX.X updates.

Now with the new 26.1 26.2 and so on just removes the way Minecraft versions are known. It was fine for 15 years, what happened? I understand its to make it easier to talk about game drops, but are people really that stupid that can't know if 1.21.5 is Spring to life drop or is Spring to Life 1.21.8. It's not that hard to remember this! Even if you are going to ignore this post and not change the version numbering back. At least release a final 1.22 update.

    Personally, I do not care what system or numbering they go with (though I do appreciate removing the "1." from the start, as it's meaningless if it never changes for years). I just want them to finally make both version numbers the exact same between Java and Bedrock. It's so confusing to remember "this update/number is for Java and this is for Bedrock" when it could literally just be one number for our sanity and parity! Please Mojang!

    As I'm a veteran 1.10-1.12 Minecraft player, I hate this new system because It’s confusing as hell, I can’t tell what’s a major update anymore.
    It looks like Apple and Windows just invaded Minecraft
    It looks like we're in Minecraft 26...
    Mojang needs to change it back to old version number system like 1.22
