What is parity? This category is designed just for features that exist but work one way on one platform, and another way on a different platform. Bugs are not parity! Items in snapshots and betas are subject to change so please be sure to only post about things that are currently released in Minecraft. Please read the intro post before you post!

    100% Agree. It needs to differentiate for 3 different typos of releases (main game drop, minor drops *bedrock only* and hot fixes for both both. Before adding on

    Year -》Quarter Num (Q1) -》Minor Release Num -》Hotfix Release Num -》 Snapshot/Preview Letter & Num.

    E.g, for Spring to Life drop;
    Java 1.21.5 / Bedrock 1.21.70 = 25Q1. 0.0
    Java 1.21.5 snapshots = 25Q1.0.0-S1 (2,3,4....)
    Bedrock 1.21.70 previews = 25Q1.0.0-P1 (2,3,4....)
    Bedrock 1.21.71 (Hotfix Release) = 25Q1.0.1
    Bedrock 1.21.72 (Hotfix Release) = 25Q1.0.2
    Bedrock 1.21.80 (Minor Release) = 25Q1.1.0
    Bedrock 1.21.81 (Hotfix Release) = 25Q1.1.1
    Bedrock 1.21.82 (Hotfix Release) = 25Q1.1.2

    I have no voice, but I must speak.

    This post needs more attention so Mojang doesn’t bury itself in a grave of Bedrock players yelling at them that it’s too complicated and not what players wanted.
    We, the Bedrock players, want to be on equal footing on the update name and especially the update numbers associated with Java. So it shouldn’t be 25.4 on Java and 25.70 on Bedrock like their example; next year, it should be 26.4.X and 26.40.X by the end of the year.

    Personally, I do not care what system or numbering they go with (though I do appreciate removing the "1." from the start, as it's meaningless if it never changes for years). I just want them to finally make both version numbers the exact same between Java and Bedrock. It's so confusing to remember "this update/number is for Java and this is for Bedrock" when it could literally just be one number for our sanity and parity! Please Mojang!
