Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Ancient Crystals.

Ancient crystals can be found in any structure with archaeology, like desert temples. They could have the same texture as the crystal on the 'prize' pottery shard (not sure what colour they could be). They are only obtained through suspicious blocks.

Iron equipment can be upgraded to the new ancient tier using a smithing table. Ancient gear will be in-between iron and diamond in strength and durability.

The upgrade template can be found in the chests (only in structures with archaeology) but in other suspicious blocks for trail ruins.

[Edit]: I hope this idea makes it into the game as it gives an incentive for players to do archaeology, explore their world, show off new gear and to teach players how netherite works later in the game.

    The only issue is that this seems almost useless considering that it's faster and better to just find diamonds and also you still need diamonds to dupe the template so just craft the armor instead of spending them in this. Also what material would it be? Why iron specifically? I think there's better options for a set between iron and diamond like bronze, steel, rose gold or even ruby and better options for an upgrade like gold or copper to give them more use since iron is already pretty good on its own
