Armor & Tool System Rework

Introduction: Since the beginning of Minecraft, there have been five armor and tool tiers which become stronger with increasing rarity of their material. Until version 1.16, leather armor and wooden tools are the weakest and diamond tools are the strongest gear you can get in the game. Now, netherite has replaced diamond as the strongest material and has become the rarest and most valuable resource. Additonally, the recent game drop added the new copper tools and armor which are intended to serve as an intermediate step from stone tools and chain armor to iron. At this moment in time, there are seven tool and armor tiers currently available in Minecraft and in my opinion this system needs a rework.

Suggestion: The original five tools and armor sets must be retained. Only the newer equipments need a modification.

• Diamonds become rarer
• Upgrade Templates remain after usage
• Netherite Armor gets an increased armor toughness but slows you down in the overworld and in the end (the same applies to the attack speed of the tools) - and it is impossible to fly with an elytra
• Copper Tools and Armor can be upgraded with other templates to add specific abbilities (these templates can be obtained in the trial chambers) - and they can oxidise

Conclusion: These changes can lead to a variaty of possibilities. Minecraft pays tribute to the Diamond equiment. Netherite gear can resist attacks from the new weapons but it is balanced. And Copper gear opens new ways of playing the game.
