Players are infinitely abusing the game's difficulty and transportation with sprinting and jumping which takes only a relatively small amount of hunger/saturation. This should be balanced with oxygen being taken from the player not only when swimming underwater but also when sprinting and jumping, perhaps not as fast as underwater. When oxygen bar drops to zero, player should lose ability to sprint until at least one oxygen bubble will recover. It won't necessarily add an unwanted amount of difficulty yet it will make perfect sense.
