Bedrock Water Elevators

I'm trying to make a boat way and i need to travel upwards with the boat. I tried a water elevator and it's very slow and I get kicked out of the boat in 2 or 3 seconds.

So what I'm trying to say is make the elevators work with boats and make them faster while using a boat than they currently are.
