The phantom membrane has not mutch use, it is used just to fix the elytras. Maybe with 8 phantom membranes and a item frame you can do a phantom frame. When you put this frame it is opaque but when you put something in it the frame becomes invisible and it will look like it is an item that is on the floor. İt can be so useful for buildings and interior. Also you can usephanthom membrane to a sign then it will be invisible and just the righting will be seen. With 9 phantom membranes you can do a phanthom block that is a useful thing. İt is so transparant and it is hard to see it. To break it you need a diamond pickaxe minimum. The use of this block is that any mob can go in, just players. But for monsters it will give a damage if they will touch it. Also the phanthom block cant explode. This uses will do the phanthom membrane realy useful, not just for fixing the elytras.
