Nowdays, mending and infinity aren't compatible, and I understand, Mojang did this because it would be too overpowered, but my idea to make this possible is the next one: I consider adding tiers of infinity, for instance, Infinity I, Infinity II and Infinity IIIl, each one has a % of chances to save an arrow, like, level 1 has a 25% of saving one, level 2 a 50%, and level 3 a 75%, this would make it more balanced and could make it able to add mending on it, making it not so broken because you always have a chance of losing one, so its not always 100% that you won't, just like now (making it infinite makes it too broken, like, if you have a bow of Infinity and 1 arrow, that arrow somehow lasts an infinite time). So, as to balance it with Infinity and Mending, this would make it possible, making it that you'll always have a chance to lose one arrow but the better the tier, the greatest the chances of saving one, furthermore, you could add mending on it, so you wouldn't need to lose a bow with infinity to make another one.
