Hey, if they make Java support software for Android and a decent Minecraft emulator to have Bedrock controls (like what PojavLauncher does, but properly and officially), they could eliminate Bedrock. They'd just need to run a world migration and account linking campaign. We'd have:
1. A unified Minecraft: fewer bugs than in Java, a single development team, everyone happy.
2. No Bedrock: an advantage in itself if there's Java.
3. A bigger budget for Minecraft Java (which would become just Minecraft).
4. A unified community: Java users wouldn't discriminate against Bedrock users because there's only Java, and Bedrock users will play Java.
*By the way, if they use the same license for both mobile versions, those who already have Bedrock shouldn't have to buy Java again. And if instead of deleting Bedrock they just stop updating it, there wouldn't be a problem because those who stopped playing could migrate their world to the same Java version and then update it.
