Maps can be really easily updated, and this is often bad for people that want to preserve them in the state they originally made the map in. Since amber preserves things in real life, maybe right clicking maps with resin could have a similar effect to the waxing of copper. It would freeze the maps in time. Even if they were picked up, they wouldn't update, and they would stay in their current condition.
