Adding banners to maps on bedrock

Java has had the ability for years to add banners to their maps to mark locations of interest. As of right now, the only way to do something like this in bedrock is by placing a copy of a locator map into an item frame and it’ll show the spot of that map. This is a hassle and so much less convenient. With the banners, we’d be able to distinctly tell each location apart and have a much more fluid experience.

    This is an idea that should have been in the game a long time ago. It would change bedrock as we know it.

    Agreed, I like getting into the the lore side of Minecraft to help motivate me to finish builds and I feel like this is a key missing feature in the game

    Dappled Forrest update would be a perfect time for this!! Adding sitting down is going, the new tents, this would be the time!

    I think mojang should add THIS because if You get Lost and You have a map an in YOUR house a banner u can locate your banner in the map and go to the banner

    Please add the ability to set a mark on a map using a banner in Bedrock addition to match Java addiction. I think the Wilderness Bound is the perfect drop to do so.
