Shearable Vines

It's possible to shear other vine-like blocks in the game, like Glow Berries, to stop them from growing any longer, but this isn't available for vines! Why not? It should be an option for vines too, as they are notorious for spreading out of control very quickly, making them unusable for decorating without lots of maintenance.

Shearing should apply to both the end block for hanging vines and for regular vines that are supported by a block, so that they cannot spread sideways. It would vastly improve the capabilities of vines and increase the number of players who can actually use them in their worlds without stressing about getting overrun with plants.
