The new UI for Minecraft Bedrock is not without its issues, from being generally clunky and slow, to being entirely different from what players are used to.
The newest change however, the addition of the “Browse Addons” button in place of the old “settings” button in the pause menu is not only scummy but disrespectful.
Making it more inconvenient to change the settings in a world while simultaneously begging people for more money is the best way to tell your fans what you prioritize.
It’s clear this update is showing the community that Minecraft Bedrock is for profit over player experience, not to mention how easy they are making it for children to spend on micro transactions, this is a predatory marketing strategy that will cause headaches for parents who don’t know to set locks on digital purchases.
I don’t expect parents who buy Minecraft for their kids to know about the marketplace or how easy it is for their kids to now accidentally stumble across it and buy without permission.
This is a really disheartening change, and not giving an option to use the old UI is also a large blunder.
