Minecraft Bedrock should let players earn small amounts of Minecoins by completing in-game achievements and taking part in rotating Mojang-made mission worlds. This would make the game fairer for players, especially kids who can’t always buy Minecoins, and it would help Mojang and Microsoft keep players active and engaged long-term.
Players could earn Minecoins by completing existing Minecraft achievements such as “The End… Again,” “Discover all biomes,” or “Suit Up.”
Mojang could also create rotating “Mission Worlds” every few weeks or months. These would be special challenge maps with simple objectives like finding hidden relics, defending a village for a few nights, or exploring the entire map. Finishing missions would reward Minecoins and possibly small cosmetic items or trophies. The mission themes could change regularly to keep gameplay fresh, without needing to be tied to big events or collaborations.
This idea benefits players by giving them a fair and fun way to earn Minecoins through gameplay instead of real money. It makes achievements and missions more meaningful, encourages exploration, and gives players a reason to keep playing. For Mojang and Microsoft, it increases engagement, builds goodwill, and still supports the Marketplace. Players who earn a few Minecoins are more likely to spend more later, which keeps the economy active while making it feel more accessible. It also builds long-term loyalty, especially among younger players.
