Hi Mojang Team,
I’ve been thinking about an idea that could make Minecraft’s combat and exploration even more exciting — something I call “The Forces & Fates Update.” It focuses on control, gravity, and momentum, giving players new ways to interact with the world and their enemies.
⚔️ Haul
Haul would be the opposite of Knockback. Instead of pushing enemies away, it pulls them toward you when you hit them. It could have up to four levels, each one increasing the pulling strength. Great for stopping runners in PvP or keeping mobs close during fights.
🧊 Halt
Halt could be used on swords, tridents, or bows, and it freezes or slows enemies for a short time depending on the level. It adds more strategy to combat, letting players control movement instead of just stacking damage.
☁️ Floating Islands
To match the “forces” theme, rare floating islands could generate high in the sky — some calm and scenic, others dangerous. Occasionally, an island could spawn with a Tethered Fortress, a small structure with traps and a mini-boss. Defeating the boss would drop special loot or rare materials tied to these enchantments.
I think this kind of update could make Minecraft’s world feel more alive — not just through new mobs or blocks, but through how players move, fight, and explore. Even if it never makes it into the game, I wanted to share it because it feels like something that fits Minecraft’s sense of discovery and creativity.
Thanks for reading,
Andrew Myles
