Pumpkin Carving Expansion

Pumpkins would be able to be custom carved. First, you would need a banner pattern. Next, you would put that banner pattern in the center of a crafting table, surrounding it with iron nuggets (giving more use to this overlooked item), creating a diamond shape. That would craft a pumpkin pattern. These are specialty patterns that can be applied to a pumpkin after interacting with shears. Or, if you want it cheaper, just use the basic designs you don't need a pattern for, like a loom. This would allow you to put whatever you want on your own pumpkin. However, similar to the way players use map art, pumpkins could also be carved pixel by pixel, giving you your perfect design. For the preset designs and pumpkin pattern applications, left click (or left trigger on Xbox) your pumpkin. For custom, individual pixel editing, right click (or right trigger on Xbox) your pumpkin.
