Behavior and AI
1. Collecting Materials
Beavers search for nearby trees (radius 8–12 blocks).
They gnaw on the trunks, breaking the bottom log blocks and producing Sticks or Gnawed Logs (a new item).
They use these materials to build their dams.
2. Building Dams
Groups of beavers identify a narrow river section and start building Dam Blocks made from gnawed logs, mud, and sticks.
Dams slow or block water flow, slightly raising the water level behind them — forming ponds.
They build over time (in phases), with visible placement animations.
3. Building Lodges
Near completed dams, beavers sometimes build lodges — small dome-shaped huts of sticks and mud.
Inside, baby beavers can spawn and hide at night.
