Iβd like to suggest a new mechanic for Redstone: the ability to turn Redstone components into solid blocks.
Imagine if we could combine a Redstone component (like a repeater, comparator, or even dust) with another block type β for example, surrounding a repeater with copper ingots β to create a βBlock Repeater.β
This would work just like a normal repeater, but as a full block, not a thin component.
The same could be done with comparators, Redstone dust, and other basic components.
Why this would be amazing:
-
It would allow us to build super compact Redstone systems without all the messy support blocks.
-
It could finally make vertical Redstone possible in a natural, elegant way.
-
It would open up new design and aesthetic possibilities, since these block components could have unique textures (like copper-powered Redstone designs!).
And hereβs an extra thought π β what if these Redstone block components could also be combined with any block type?
That way, we could hide Redstone inside walls or ceilings, creating βbeautiful Redstoneβ builds that look completely clean.
You could make something as simple as turning on your house lights with a button without leaving a big empty space between the wall and the ceiling to fit all the wiring.
Maybe that last part is too ambitious⦠but it would be amazing!
Redstone block components could make circuits more compact, vertical, and even invisible, while keeping the creative and engineering spirit of Minecraft alive. β‘
