With the recent addition of the spear and its new enchantment that allows players to perform a powerful forward “dash” at the cost of hunger, it would make sense to introduce a new effect called Oversaturation.
This effect would temporarily prevent the player’s hunger bar from decreasing — no matter what they do — at the cost of a heavy hunger drain once the effect ends.
While under the Oversaturation effect, the player’s hunger bar will not decrease from any action: sprinting, jumping, swimming, fighting, or using the spear’s dash ability.
However, once the effect wears off, the player immediately suffers a strong hunger backlash depending on the effect level.

Oversaturation II 2:30 min Consumes 8 hunger bars
Oversaturation III 4:00 min Leaves the player with only half a hunger bar
