i am just now realizing that i used a more developer friendly explanation of my idea. when i probably should have made it easy to understand by anybody. here is a less formal explanation:

Piglins should respect your gold armor more.

Piglins already love gold. they trade for it, wear it, and calm down if you wear some too. But right now, wearing gold armor is just a cheap trick to stop them from attacking you.

But... What if the amount of gold armor you wore actually mattered?

Every additional piece of gold you wore could make Piglins see you as a higher status piglin. prompting them to be more generous in trades, like they were being more respectful. A player in full gold armor might get extra loot, while another with only gold boots gets less.

it would feel like you’re part of their social hierarchy, not just bribing them. it adds levels of risk and choice too: do you wear more of the fragile gold armor to get better trades, or stay safe with iron or diamond and get less?

Gold armor would finally have a real purpose and Piglins would feel more alive.
