Given the recent introduction of the Copper Golem to the game, Mojang have displayed their willingness to include a losing mob into the game. I think that Mooblooms would add a lot to the overall world building of certain biomes like the meadow. Mooshrooms have done the same for mushroom biomes for years and now we have two new hot and cold variants of the cow, so I think that Mooblooms would fit very well with this.
If Mojang were to improve the Birch Forest in accordance with the utterly stunning concept art they released earlier for an updated birch forest with taller trees and new vegetation, including new mushroom variants which grow on tree trunks/logs, then I believe the Mooblrooms would be a great mob to include in that drop.
Potential ideas:
- Comes in many variants/colours to match current flower types
- Grows shearable flowers for a new way to farm decoration items without redstone farms
- Produces a new kind of milk or soup - ie. a milk which only removes bad effects
- Give new life to specific biomes to encourage exploration
- Interact with bees in some way - ie. honey produced from Moobloom's flowers could be faster to produce, better/different, coloured or not stick to other honey/slime blocks for redstone contraptions.
Mooblooms could provide new life, reason for exploration, ambience & aesthetics, decoration, non-redstone flower farming options, a new drinkable item, new honey for building & redstone.
