Ever since the new copper tools & armor arrived, I kept thinking: why not give them electricity?
Perhaps copper armor could increase the chance that a lightning bolt will be redirected toward a player while reducing the damage it causes. Also, it could store a "charge," which is a power value that can be converted to redstone pulses. This value is directly limited by how much the item is oxidized. Charged armor could emit a small electric aura that would mildly damage or stun nearby entities. Alternatively, it could be discharged as a redstone pulse (this could conflict with Sculk usage though). Copper tools could be more efficient when used near powered redstone. And additionally, the copper rod could be used to pull or redirect entities wearing copper armor to itself.
Such changes can be implemented with the upcoming redstone "Redstone Experiments" changes.
