My children are lucky to have a Nintendo Switch each. They both bought Minecraft and play multiplayer LAN games with each other. Our family has a XBox Series X, and my children asked me to buy Minecraft so I could join them in their worlds. So I did - and then found out the multiplayer LAN games are hidden behind a paywall! I need to pay for the XBox Games Pass in order to play LAN games on Minecraft! This is grossly unfair - having spent $1000 on the XBox, and two Switches ($1200), then three sets of Minecraft ($120), why is Minecraft allowing Microsoft to put multiplayer LAN games behind a paywall?! Fortnite, for example, can be played multiplayer LAN (one paid for on the Switch and one paid for on the XBox) without needing the Game Pass, so why has Minecraft?
