Barrel placement

I love the barrels. I prefer to use barrels in most of my builds. I also love that barrels can change orientation based on how they are placed. However, I don't like that I have to be a block higher than the floor if I want my barrels to face upward. It would be nice if the bottom of the barrel always oriented itself toward the block the player is looking at when the barrel is placed. Kind of like how shulker boxes orient themselves when placed on the floor versus against a wall.
