Currently the only way to get rid of unwanted potion effects is to use a milk bucket. While that is useful, it gets bothersome and isnt practical because you have to drink a milk bucket every time you get an unwanted effect. Going end busting with a bunch of buckets to get rid of the levitation effect isnt effective.
I propose a new potion type: The potion of cleansing!
This potion would make you immune to all effects, beneficial or detrimental. It would have pvp applications (slowness, weakness, and harming would not affect you) while being balanced (strength, speed, regen, and healing wont affect you either).
The splash potion would have a very short duration (3 seconds or so) and could be used offensively to remove strength and speed from your opponent or defensively to remove deffects from yourself quickly. The drinkable potion would have a longer duration (3 minutes standard, 8 with redstone) and would be applicable when adventuring through difficult areas (end cities and ancient cities) as they would negate levitation and would be a better counter to darkness than night vision.
How would you brew this potion?
There are two recipe possibilities in my mind.
The logical option and the balanced option.
The logical option is to use milk in the recipe. Perhaps milk bottles that are brewed with nether wart become cleansing potions.
Alternatively, there is the more balanced option:
Using a rarer item such as chorus flower would make the potion only available in the end game.
