Make Lunge enchantment work in air and water.

In Minecraft Live, it said that we can use the Spear underwater, and I think it's really cool, so why not make the Lunge enchantment applicable in water and air? Also, if Mojang wishes not to put it in spears, why not also put the enchantment in Tridents? They both have (almost) same mechanic, only the thing is spears can (in theory) do infinite damage but tridents can be thrown. I'm not asking for throwable spears, I'm suggesting putting Lunge enchantment in tridents and make the enchantment only work in water so that we can swim faster (like 5-10% faster), and make it easier to throw and give you a small dash (not big like the nautilus).

    What would the point be of riptide tridents then?

    Yep riptide + spear is weird + they didn’t even say they were going to make it so you can do it in mid air
