Long range beacon portals

Players with established bases tend to stay close to that base. We want to explore the vast lands of MC more so why not be able to create and connect far away portals with beacons? A new type of player built portals that requires beacons. You can even limit it by only being able to build a limited number of it by making it work with pairs. Portals with blue beacon light can only connect to anothet same color limiting the number of these portals to the number of beacon colors or something similar.
