Calcite

Dear Mojang, as a player who just recently returned after awhile of no contact with Minecraft, I found an interesting block to build with that being calcite. I use calcite and I love it! But there’s one issue, why is there no stairs or slabs? I think it would be an amazing addition Becasue the other white blocks with slabs and stairs are noticeably different looking than calcite and it bothers me
