New Farming: Aquatic Crops

Introduction:
Water in Minecraft is beautiful, but underused for farming. Aquatic Crops would bring a new kind of agriculture to rivers, swamps, and deltas.

Main Features:

• Includes rice, lotus roots, and kelp bulbs, all grown directly in shallow water.

• Can be planted in waterlogged farmland or on new “mud plots.”

• Harvested with shears or by hand.

• Rice: food crop; Lotus root: potion ingredient; Kelp bulbs: compost/fuel.

Gameplay Impact:
Adds variety to farming, realism to wetlands, and new uses for water biomes.
