Hello! As a long-time player, and one who really loves creating or recreating new and interesting designs with banners (especially other video game characters along with mob vote winners/losers) and sharing them with other players on the servers I've played, I propose that the survival layer limit be increased to 10.
Considering the game allows up to 16 layers with commands, it feels like a good compromise between an arbitrary (in my opinion) limit of 6 and the full freedom of 16. I know it's been said before that it's this way to encourage creativity, but I couldn't disagree more. Sometimes just one or two additional layers can really make a difference on a design.
Not just that, but with the addition of so many new banner patterns and especially shelves (which many players would use as creative signs using banner designs), it feels that the limit of 6 is outdated, actively detrimental and holding banners back from being used more widely.
Prior to 1.19 many players like me used the bug that let you put up to 16 layers on banners in survival, and many mods exist to increase this limit. It really opens the doors to so many more designs! I think it's time that banners got a change. Thank you!
