Copper Oxidation Acceleration

I got this idea while looking at the Copper Golem statue. I really like the Copper Golem as an entity, but I also think its cute, charming appearance makes it a perfect decoration piece. I believe many builders in the community probably feel the same way. However, I learned that in survival mode, it takes about 30 real hours for a Copper Golem to fully oxidize into a statue. That got me thinking. If waxing can prevent copper from oxidizing, shouldn’t there also be a way to accelerate the oxidation instead? That’s why I’d like to suggest a new mechanic — placing copper above fire to speed up oxidation. In real life, heating copper causes it to combine with oxygen and form copper oxide. I think it would be interesting if placing copper blocks over a campfire or fire source could rapidly accelerate their oxidation in Minecraft.
