To ensure that spears & Axes aren't just relegated to being "sword 2", some enchants should be altered to give them more distinction.
bane of arthropods and smite are rather arbitrary choices, and sharpness V is a rather insane enchantment to have on the spear which already has kinetic damage & lunging. So instead I would give the Axe & Spear breach and looting so that they can maintain their own strengths and yield the same rewards as a looting sword as well as give better options for breach. I would as alluded to before put an enchant cap on sharpness when applied onto an Axe & Spear, preferably sharpness III.
Why does the Axe ALSO need enchant alterations? To function as both a tool and a weapon, it could use its own enchant pool to pull from, but like the spear they shouldn't have the exact same pool of key enchants as a sword.
