Servers can't keep up with the updates

Mojang has been updating Minecraft at an insane rate, and for the community, that's fun! But it's not cheap for server owners.

I have a small server project that has taken me almost 4 years to build. With this almost weekly update format, my devs and I just can't keep up.

Mojang needs to do something about this. They change the code for datapacks and texturepacks, and don't provide enough support for servers to update easily, so we have to manage it all on our own.

The Minecraft community is mostly supported by servers. And for those of us who want to create a more original experience, meaning we make our own datapacks, pluggins, texturepacks and don't have the money to pay devs every week, it's getting more and more frustrating to update.

    Weekly updates? Why not just play the official releases instead of the snapshots than.
