Increase the spear damage to be equal to its same material sword

The spear damage is ridiculously low , i think its actual advantages like the range is balanced with its low attack speed but its damage do it completely useless what is the point of having different weapons if the sword is gonna be the best option in the 99% of scenaries? , the use of spears is good under extreme specific situacions, i think the slower attack speed is balance enough . in real life spears despite usually having less metal on its spearhead it does a lot of damage because of the way it is held  .

    The spear Mojang added is actually more similar to a lance and also if the damage is the same as the sword then swords would be useless

    I feel that we should rework the spear like this (compared to base spear):
    (+ is a buff, / is neutral, - is a nerf)
    New Spear:
    + Same damage as sword
    / Charge gives the player a speed boost for 5 sec before giving out
    /enchant that trades out charge for throw (not compatible with lunge
    /lunge gets partical effects
    /new stab, throw, and charge animimations
    - swing speed is reduced by 0.1 sec
