Happy Ghast is too loud, and can be heard from too far away

I love the happy ghast, and I love the cute noises it makes. What I do not enjoy is hearing a constant stream of those noises no matter where I am in my base. I recently built a 60+ block high tower to store 4 of them up in the air, and I am constantly berated by their noises from a distance of at least 80 blocks. I've been playing with friendly mob noises turned off since building the tower in order to spare myself the constant gurgling.

    Yes, this! Plus they make noises too frequently. Just having 3 floating around your base is enough to drown out other mobs, ambiance, and worst of all the background music.

    1000 times yes to this. I had planned to make a ghast garage in a large re-model of our mountain base, but honestly I've ended up killing 2 out of the 3 I had just to shut them up. There needs to be an easy toggle for their noise level, a way to shut them up entirely, or an enormous decrease in the absurd range at which you can hear them. I am about to kill the 3rd ghast out of sheer frustration.

    Seconded. I’ll be creating a specific location far enough from anywhere that I ever play to park him and will just take a railroad over there whenever I want to fly.

    I'm glad people share my same sentiment. The range is obscene, I get that ghasts are normally loud but this is just annoying to have around my base. At the very least Mojang, please lower the range. It is just absurd. At least with allays I can escape their chatter like normal mobs. Having friendly mob sounds turned off is just what will have to be done for now.

    Yes they are badly made annoying and don't fit the game compared to all other classic mobs from before , do they even test and play their own game, do they even like their own game they work on?

    The sounds are triggering and so are copper golems sound.

    I agree with this. It's getting ridiculous at this point. I love them, but my god, it's driving me nuts.
