The Spear is a powerful and versatile weapon, but currently poses little risk to the user. To make it more balanced and strategic, I propose a new mechanic:
When the Spear hits a solid wall or a player's shield, 25% of the base damage dealt by the Spear should be reflected back to the player who threw or attacked with it.
For example, if the Spear would deal 10 damage, the player using it would receive 2.5 damage when colliding with a wall or shield.
This change encourages more tactical use of the weapon, prevents the spear from becoming overpowered, and maintains high damage in direct combat, but adds a risk proportional to aggressiveness.
By doing this, the spear remains a powerful weapon, but now requires more precision and caution from the player, making combat more fair and strategic.
