Ladders take up a full block, so when you try to place something on the ladder you are on it places it in the open area behind the ladder. This is helpful for trying to place a block to stand on. This is annoying when you are laying down ladders. For some reason, you can place a ladder adjacent to the one you are on by clicking the ladder you are on. This will place one of your ladders in the open spot behind you if there is any available. If you have a hole to bedrock thats 1x2 and you try to place ladders by spam clicking, it will place a large amount behind you. This will force you to go back and clean up all the misplaced ladders. If you only misplace one, it is a falling hazard that could kill you if you are not carful. I don’t remember it always being like this, and spam clicking ladders just placed them on the block you were looking at. All I wish is that when you are on a ladder, you cannot place a ladder on the block behind it by clicking the ladder. I really hope this is understandable, since its really annoying to deal with misplaced ladders.
